Nick Gautier has abruptly entered a new reality and he’s not happy about it. The young and powerful demon’s son finds himself living in a world of normal people. His friends, family, mentor, and enemies are all present, but they’re all suddenly different. Nick has changed as well and must uncover the root of this upheaval without his powers. Narrator Graham’s voicings are colorful and are well tuned to the particular characters they represent. With deliberation and emphasis, Graham’s raspy voice can turn up the story’s tension several notches in a mere sentence. Ages 12–up. A St. Martin’s Griffin hardcover. -
