Finally, when it's Petra's turn to show her strength, she presents her potion and is selected! The days go by, and instead of receiving new lessons from Linus, she receives a list of chores. One night, while she's cleaning for a wizard party, she finds a room full of secrets; among them is that Linus has stolen her youth potion and will claim that it's his. With her intelligence and knowledge of magic, Petra reveals the truth. This is a tale about a brilliant witch who has the opportunity to stand up for herself, and others against a famous wizard who swindles everyone. The art is fun, with bright colors and expressive faces. Kids will be get excited with every page turn. VERDICT A charming read-aloud.-Melanie Ortega
